Drs. Usatch and Bushra honored by Montgomery County

 

Two Lankenau Medical Center Emergency Medicine physicians, Ben Usatch, MD, and Lankenau’s Emergency Medicine Chief Joseph Bushra, MD, were among those honored by Montgomery County this week for their services during the Papal visit. Usatch-LM police-400

During the Papal visit, Dr Usatch (in photo) as well as Dr Bushra worked along side of the Lower Merion SWAT team as well as National Guard and Secret Service.

Dr Usatch, who is medical director for Narberth Ambulance and Montgomery County, and Dr. Bushra, who is Narberth Ambulance’s deputy medical director, brought emergency medicine to the streets with a new, fully equipped emergency medicine SUV to back up police, fire and EMS.

With the commissioning of this vehicle and team, emergency medical physicians will be available to assist public safety with mass casualty events, complicated patients, hazmats and other incidents that might require a physician on location.
