Again this year, Lankenau Medical Center, Bryn Mawr Hospital and Riddle Hospital have received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines® – Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award. This award recognizes the commitment and success of each hospital’s staff in implementing a higher standard of care by ensuring that stroke patients receive treatment according to nationally accepted guidelines.

In addition, Bryn Mawr Hospital was named to the Stroke Honor Roll Elite for achieving time to thrombolytic therapy within 60 minutes in 75 percent or more of acute ischemic stroke patients treated with IV tPA. Lankenau Medical Center and Riddle Hospital both were named to the Stroke Honor Roll for achieving time to thrombolytic therapy within 60 minutes in 50 percent or more of acute ischemic stroke patients treated with IV tPA.

Our hospitals have developed a comprehensive system for rapid diagnosis and treatment of stroke patients admitted to the Emergency Department. These awards honor the hard work of our care teams in saving lives and acknowledge our Systemwide commitment to ensuring that our patients receive exceptional care.
