BMH’s John Nguyen, MD, and LMC Trauma team named Safety Heroes of 2016

John Nguyen, MD, Chief of Anesthesia at Bryn Mawr Hospital, was named the MLH Physician Safety Hero of 2016 at an awards presentation at last week’s Clinical Environment Workgroup retreat. His nomination cited his work to prepare his department for the Joint Commission survey, which for the first time resulted in no findings related to anesthesia.

Also recognized as Safety Heroes at the event were Ehyal Shweiki MD, and the Lankenau Medical Center Trauma Advanced Practitioners team for their significant contributions to the successful establishment of the Level II Trauma Center at Lankenau Medical Center. Those recognized include Caitlyn Cook, PA-C, Megan Barker, CRPN, Anne Judge, CRNP, and Ching Ma, CRNP
