US News & World Report: MLH hospitals rank among top 10 in the region

By Jack Lynch, MLH President and CEO

I am honored to announce that US News & World Report has released its Best Hospital rankings for 2017-2018, and once again, Main Line Health’s acute care hospitals are all among the top 10 in the Philadelphia region, and among the top 20 in Pennsylvania. Although these rankings only focus on acute care hospitals, Main Line Health’s ability to achieve top recognition is a testament to the culture of collaboration and commitment to excellence that every Main Line Health team member in every location across our System recommits to every day.

US News evaluated the performance of more than 4,500 hospitals across the nation and based their rankings on metrics that evaluate the quality of care delivered to our most complex patients. In addition to their state and regional rankings, each Main Line Health acute care hospital was ranked as high performing in Heart Failure, Colon Cancer Surgery, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and Knee Replacement.

The state and regional rankings are as follows:

Philadelphia Region:

#4 – Lankenau Medical Center

#6 – Bryn Mawr Hospital

#8 – Paoli Hospital and Riddle Hospital (tied)

Pennsylvania:

#7 – Lankenau Medical Center

#12 – Bryn Mawr Hospital

#15 – Paoli Hospital and Riddle Hospital (tied)

This tremendous accomplishment is only possible through the dedication and unwavering focus of our physicians, employees and volunteers, and is reflective of our positive outcomes, patient safety initiatives and reputation in the communities we serve.

Congratulations to each and every one of you, and thank you for your role in making Main Line Health the best place to give and receive care as we work to deliver a STEEEP experience every time, everywhere to everyone.
