From April 16 to April 22, MLH will celebrate National Healthcare Decisions Week. During this time, we are all encouraged to learn about making future health care decisions for ourselves and how to communicate them to family, friends and providers. The week developed in conjunction with The Conversation Project, which is dedicated to helping people talk about their wishes for end-of-life care. National Healthcare Decisions Week serves as a national annual initiative to provide information on health care decision-making and practical tools for conversation and documentation of wishes to the public, providers and facilities.
Main Line Health will be hosting events during the week of April 16. Terre Mirsch, director of Home Health and Hospice for Main Line Health HomeCare & Hospice, will facilitate the presentations that are open to the public. A third event that is NOT listed on the flyer will occur in the lobby of Riddle Hospital. Knowledgeable employees will be available between 10am – 1pm on April 18 in the lobby of Health Center 3 to answer any questions and provide information. Main Line Health employees are encouraged to stop by.
