Hello Main Line Health team!
The Heart Walk is now only three weeks away, and I am excited and eager to join you all as we walk to raise awareness and funds for heart disease care and research.
There is still time to register as a walker or coach, make a donation, and score a MLH/Lankenau Heart Institute Heart Walk t-shirt. Visit mainlinehealth.org/HeartWalk for details but—don’t forget!—you’ll need to register and donate $25 by Sunday, Oct. 14 to receive a t-shirt.
Among the MLH team members joining us for this year’s Heart Walk is Riti Patel, MD, FACC, a Lankenau Heart Institute cardiologist and our 2018 American Heart Association Go Red for Women Champion. Below, she shares why it’s important for her to participate in this year’s event:
“As we approach the annual American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Walk on October 27th at Citizens Bank Park, I hope you’ll consider joining us at this year’s event. Main Line Health is a proud partner with the AHA in the fight against heart disease and stroke-the #1 killer of women and men in the United States.
Take the first step in prioritizing your heath, for yourself and for the people who depend on you, by joining us at the Heart Walk. Bring your family, bring your friends, or create your own Heart Walk team, and join nearly one million Americans across the country that are walking in support of healthier lives, free of cardiovascular disease. I look forward to seeing you there!”
