STEEEP Huddle: T for Timely

This week’s STEEEP Huddlecontributed by Greg Kasmer, System director, Cancer Services focuses on colonoscopy for the prevention of colorectal cancer. Colorectal cancer is one of the few cancers that is preventable, yet it’s one of the leading causes of cancer deaths in the US. March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, so what better time than now to schedule a colonoscopy, a colon exam that can often detect colon polyps or abnormal growths in the large intestine, which can easily be removed before becoming cancerous.

The STEEEP Huddle topics are posted on the Performance Excellence 2020 site at landing.mainlinehealth.org/PE2020.
