Announcement: MLH purchases new property

By Jack Lynch, president and CEO, Main Line Health

For the past year, you may have seen news stories about discussions between MLH and St. Charles Borromeo Seminary regarding the future of the Seminary property.

After a due diligence process exploring opportunities for how the Seminary site can benefit our community for generations to come, Main Line Health and St. Charles have reached an agreement for the property. While the Seminary has transferred ownership of the site to Main Line Health system, the Seminary will continue to operate on the property for the next three to five years along with some of our hospitals’ internal educational uses. During this time, Main Line Health will continue to work with both internal and external constituencies—in addition to the township and other community partners—to assess the optimal future use of the property by Main Line Health, while considering the historical significance of the buildings and the needs of Lower Merion Township’s growing and vibrant community.

We will continue to keep the Main Line Health community updated as our plans develop.

As always, thank you for your unwavering support of our mission to improve the health and wellbeing of all in the communities we serve.
