A message from Rick Mankin MD, President, Main Line HealthCare
Dear MLH Community;
I am so sorry to share with you the unexpected passing of our colleague, Peter Dahl MD, this past Friday evening, after he experienced a sudden catastrophic illness at home. Peter was a highly respected endocrinologist at Riddle Hospital, and started our MLHC practice there “from scratch” over four years ago. He was genuine, caring, and talented, and quickly became a favorite physician on the medical staff. He was highly regarded, not only by our referring physicians but by our staff, and the thousands of patients he touched. His loss will be deeply felt by all that he touched.
He is survived by his wife Katherine (Katie) Lackritz MD, and their two children Jeremy and Magnolia. In speaking to Katie, she wanted me to know how thrilled he was being at Main Line Health, as he felt valued, well supported, and intensely proud of what he had accomplished with us. She told me that it was the happiest he had ever been, and how excited he was for the future of his practice. She made particular note of how much he loved his patients, and how much he valued the privilege to care for them.
